Description
Job DescriptionThe University of Maryland seeks aradiologist for a new faculty position in the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of MarylandMedical Center in Baltimore. The section covers all aspects of Abdominal imaging,including CT, PET/CT, MR, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and image guided procedures,with faculty sub-specialization where appropriate. The department has 3T and1.5T clinical and research MR scanners, newest generation dual source/dualenergy CT scanners, CT fluoroscopy interventional systems and Ultrasound equipmentwith 3D, fusion, elastography, and contrast-enhanced sonography. A new clinicaland research PET/MR program will commence operations in Fall 2018. TheAbdominal section participates in multiple multidisciplinary conferences.
The University Medical Center campus has1000 beds and radiology services are also provided for the adjacent BaltimoreVA Medical Center and remotely for several off-campus imaging facilities. TheUniversity offers very competitive salary and benefits, time for academicpursuits, and funding for continuing medical education. Appointments to theSchool of Medicine will be made at an academic level appropriate for the candidate'sexperience. Applicants must be ABR certified, meet the requirements forMaryland licensure and should have both fellowship training and researchexperience in Abdominal imaging. The successful candidate will be expected to contributeto the department's clinical, education and research missions. The proposedhire date is July 2019.
