Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Work Schedule: Full Time Rotating Schedule
Overview
Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Competence
Perform CT procedures across all patient types and care settings with appropriate technical factors.
Provide age-appropriate care and follow dose reduction principles (Image Wisely/Image Gently).
Administer contrast in accordance with policy.
Participate in Clinical Ladder Programs when applicable.
Application of Knowledge
Apply CT principles including anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, physics, patient positioning, and patient care.
Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state, federal, and departmental regulations.
Documentation
Accurately record patient care activities in electronic health record systems.
Work Environment & Equipment
Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Monitor supplies and equipment; report issues as appropriate.
Follow equipment quality control procedures with documentation.
Quality & Education
Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.
Contribute to patient experience and quality of care.
Support training and education of students and new employees.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program (recognized by USDE or CHEA).
Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience required.
Licensure/Certifications
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) and (CT).
Licensed Radiographer State of Maryland.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred
Completion of a CT program or Bachelors degree in health science or related field.
2+ years of CT experience.
