Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Assistant Golf Professional.
- Class "A" Member of the PGA of America.
- Experience at a private club with the highest standards of member experience is essential.
Essential Responsibilities
The Assistant Golf Professional will:
- Provide outstanding customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all members and guests.
- Assist in the overall management of the practice facility.
- Deliver individual and group instruction, including clinics, with enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the game.
- Supervise, schedule, and train golf staff as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
- Support merchandising operations, including purchasing, receiving, displaying, inventory control, promotions, and sales.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, both on and off club premises.
- Promote and actively support club activities, events, and tournaments.
- Stay current with emerging club technologies, club fitting equipment, and modern teaching methods.
- Take a leadership role in Men's golf programs, weekly events, and tournaments.
- Engage with members by playing golf across all groups, including Men, Women, Seniors, and Juniors.
- Represent GSVHC in the community as well as in sectional and national tournaments to elevate the club's professional presence.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities to expand knowledge in all areas of the golf industry.
- Maintain close communication with supervisors and club management to ensure seamless teamwork and integration across all operations.
