Job DescriptionThe University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Sciences, and Health Outcomes Research's (PSHOR) PATIENTS Program has an exciting Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity. Fellowships within P-SHOR provide multidisciplinary, advanced training and prepare fellows for positions in academia, government, the pharmaceutical industries, and consulting. Training includes, but is not limited to, mentored research, grant writing, and teaching experiences.

Start date: Negotiable - Flexible through August 2026
Salary: $62,232 - $75,564 (Commensurate with NIH stipend levels, education, and experience)

Job Summary:
The PATIENTS Program (www.patients.umaryland.edu) at the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB) seeks applicants with qualitative research training to conduct community-research (CEnR) with activities funded by AHRQ, FDA, NIH, PCORI, the pharmaceutical industry, and foundations.
Training includes mentored research and manuscript and grant-writing experiences; optional activities include coursework in CEnR or patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR). Fellows interact extensively with community partners as well as other researchers as part the portfolio of over 20 projects supported by The PATIENTS Program, including those under the direction of Principal Investigators C. Daniel Mullins (primary) Claudia Baquet, Jasmine K. Cooper, Hillary Edwards, and Michelle Medeiros.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent degree and qualitative research training and/or experience. Eligible candidates should have Strong focus group/key informant interviewing and qualitative analysis skills and an ability to work across diverse community settings are required. Candidates should have excellent communication, organizational, writing skills and time-management skills. Experience with CEnR or community-based participatory research (CBPR) among undeserved populations is desired.
