Requirements

Responsibilities

• Train dogs from start to finish: puppies, obedience, off-leash, and behavior modification.
• Conduct private lessons, group classes, and immersive board-and-train programs.
• Develop training materials: manuals, client homework, presentations, apprentice workshops.
• Mentor and support new hires; provide ongoing staff development.
• Collaborate with kennel, office, and training coordinators for consistent practices.
• Stay current with industry best practices and training innovations.

Qualifications

• Proven success in professional dog training (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Expertise in obedience, safe handling, and behavior modification methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to teach clients effectively.
• Highly organized; able to manage multiple dogs and lessons daily.
• Experience in customer service, animal husbandry, or kennel operations.
• Physical ability to handle large dogs and lift heavy equipment as needed.
