Requirements
Responsibilities
- Train dogs from start to finish: puppies, obedience, off-leash, and behavior modification.
- Conduct private lessons, group classes, and immersive board-and-train programs.
- Develop training materials: manuals, client homework, presentations, apprentice workshops.
- Mentor and support new hires; provide ongoing staff development.
- Collaborate with kennel, office, and training coordinators for consistent practices.
- Stay current with industry best practices and training innovations.
Qualifications
- Proven success in professional dog training (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Expertise in obedience, safe handling, and behavior modification methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to teach clients effectively.
- Highly organized; able to manage multiple dogs and lessons daily.
- Experience in customer service, animal husbandry, or kennel operations.
- Physical ability to handle large dogs and lift heavy equipment as needed.
